We found blood and I started marking the blood trail This elk came running back by us and Michael got off aįairly close shot before the elk ran into some really thick stuff. 5 or 6 more shots rang out and a few minutes later 5 or 6 more. The elk wheeled aroundĪnd ran up the hill. I don't think he touched the elk that time. Michael did not have a rest and ended up taking 2 off hand shots. We headed that way and saw this nice bull looking at us about 100 yards away. Yards away in a fairly grown up logging area.
